What I'm Learning

It seems like there is always something new to “adjust to.” Last summer we adjusted our driving habits when the price of gas hit $4 a gallon. In the fall we were forced to endure the unending barrage of political campaign adds. This winter the economy took center stage with the mortgage mess, bailouts, bankruptcies, and unemployment.
Recently, the swine flu and congressional legislation has made us wonder what new adjustments may be in our future. Life is full of adjustments. If you are like me, you’ll find it easy to miss the most important adjustments… adjusting to God’s activity as He works in and around us. Somehow when I’m concerned about honoring the Lord, adjusting to the other stresses in life aren’t as difficult.

Welcome to Cornerstone...
Weekly Summer Bible Studies are held each Tuesday for men and women at 7:00pm at church.
Women are studying Stepping Up: A Journey through the Psalms of Ascent by Beth Moore. This in depth look at Psalms 120-134 will show how we can voice our petitions and praises to our God, who is always available and ready to hear us.
Men are studying The Magnificent 7, which examines seven favorite Psalms that will put some voltage into our spiritual lives. Bring a Bible and a heart that is ready for God.

Youth Missions Trip
July 16 - August 2
Cornerstone high school youth will be serving in an outreach program in Minneapolis' local parks, playing games and sharing God's love, as well as doing various labor service projects for the Living Hope Minneapolis Ministry.
